When I go fishing with a charter company, do I need a fishing license?
When you fish a reliable and legal charter business you will not have to have a fishing license in the State of South Carolina, this will be covered under the charter companies license.
Do I need to bring food and drink on the boat for our trip?
Knot Stressed Charters will have waters along with ice on the boat, if a client would like anything other than that it is their responsibility to bring it. It can be prearranged with the captain to have you desired drinks and snacks on board at the cost of the items.
Does the charter supply all the rod and reels and bait?
The captain will have all the bait loaded on the boat before the trip begins along with the all the rod and reels you will need for the trip. It has been asked before if a client wished to bring their personal rod and reel and yes, they can do that with no issue.
Is Knot Stressed Charters a kid friendly event.
Here at Knot Stressed Charters we take pride in our commitment to having kids on board and introducing them to outdoors and get them out in front of the TV. The look on a child's face after catching their first saltwater fish is priceless.
The weather policy of Knot Stressed Charters:
- Rain, we fish.
- Lighting, we don't fish.
- Wind, we fish.
- Small Craft advisory's, we don't fish.
- The captain will have the final say and will do so all in the name of safety.
Will I get sea sick on the boat?
That's a hard on to answer, for the most part clients will not get sea sick on a typical inshore fishing charter. On the other hand, if the captain chooses to go to the jetties of nearshore reef there have been occasions when clients have gotten sick. So, if your prone to getting seasick please check with the captain to see if you will be fishing in these places.
Are we allowed to keep what we catch?
Here at Knot Stressed Charters we follow all state and federal laws. The captain will stress that the fish we catch will provide more enjoyment when they are released and allowed to reproduce and to be caught again.
If we catch fish and plan on keeping them will the captain clean them?
Knot Stressed Charters does offer free cleaning of your catch
Is there somewhere that will cook the fish we catch?
Knot Stressed Charters had partnered with Waters Edge Restaurant on Shem Creek to cook your catch with a cost set by the restaurant. The captain will clean you catch and walk it up to the servers at the restaurant, where they will continue with wonderful service.
Do I tip my captain at the end of my trip?
It is not required, but here at Knot Stressed Charters we work really hard to make your experience the best it can be. If you would like to show your captain that you really enjoyed the time you had and that your thankful for all the efforts, he put forwards then by all means tip.
Will we always catch fish on a charter?
Knot Stressed Charters captains are some of the most experienced captains in the areThey go fishing day in and day out to keep up with all the trends and patterns of the fish in the area, with that said there are those rare occasions that mother nature does not play along and as the old saying goes "It's fishing".
Are there bathrooms on the boat?
No there are no bathrooms on board.
